SIG Chair, Laura Balsam, recently put up a web gallery of new photos using the SquareSpace content management system. Laura will show how to setup a new web site from scratch and upload photos.

Laura has had many years of basic HTML experience but did not want to spend months learning new technology to put up a more sophisticated web site. Content management systems are like WYSIWYG on the fly publishing for the web. Laura has experimented with Wordpress and Typedpad, but settled on SquareSpace.

She will show the strengths of the system and talk about its limitations.

Month charges:

$8 a month if you do not want a customized domain name

$14 a month if you do want a customized domain name
example: artofbronxville.com
